¹⁹ Jesus said to them, “What ·are you talking about [^Lthings]?”

They said, “About Jesus of Nazareth. He was a prophet ·who said and did many powerful things [^Lpowerful in deed and word] before God and all the people. ²⁰ Our ·leading [^Tchief] priests and ·leaders [rulers] handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him. ²¹ But we were hoping that he would ·free [rescue; redeem] Israel. Besides [^Lall] this, it is now the third day since this happened.
